1.What is personal information?

“Personal information” as used in this Personal Information Protection Policy means information obtained by the Company from a Client or other party that can be used to identify an individual Client, including an address, name, telephone number, or electronic mail address, or information that is specific to an individual Client.

2.Acquiring personal information

The Company shall acquire personal information to the extent necessary and by lawful and appropriate means.

3.Managing personal information

The Company shall maintain the accuracy of personal information and take appropriate measures to prevent personal information from becoming subject to divulgence, loss, alteration, damage, or unauthorized access. Employees and other members of the Company who handle personal information shall be trained on matters related to the protection of personal information and be subject to necessary and appropriate supervision.

4.Utilizing personal information

The Company shall use personal information within the scope of the purpose of use as indicated at the time of its acquisition.

5.Providing personal information to a third party

Except as required by laws and regulations, the Company shall refrain from providing personal information to a third party unless consented to in advance by the person to whom the personal information in question pertains.

6.Disclosing, correcting, suspending the use of, and deleting personal information

The Company shall appropriately accommodate any request to disclose, correct, suspend the use of, or delete personal information made by a person to whom the personal information in question pertains in accordance with the laws and regulations.

7.Inquiries regarding personal information

The Company shall promptly and appropriately respond to any inquiry concerning personal information handled thereby as made by the person to whom the personal information in question pertains.
